Crisp Tours is sad to announce the cancellation (postponement) of the Germany/Austria tour for September 2010 with the Titan Hot Seven Jazz Band.  Everyone know that our economy is down right now and people are hanging on tight to see what’s going to happen.  This we understand.  The bottom line is, we simply didn’t get the numbers needed at this time.  Crisp Tours has escorted three sold out jazz tours to Germany with waiting lists on each trip.  So if you missed this one, watch this website and the American Rag magazine for a future Bavarian Tour to Germany with the fabulous Titan Hot Seven.

Tour Germany and Austria with the very best, The Titan Hot Seven with, Jeff Barnhart, Danny Coots, Flip Oakes, Jerry Krahn, Ike Harris, and Bill Allred.  It just can’t get any better.  This band is the hottest group on the trad-jazz festival circuit - featuring traditional jazz, swing music, ballads, ragtime and novelty tunes. Their spontaneous humor packs 'em in with standing room only crowds. Not only will you listen to superb live jazz daily, you'll visit some of the most beautiful areas on the planet.  This is not a typical rushed whirlwind European tour, dragging suitcases on and off buses each day with endless city tours.  Pack your bags only once.  Stay in one modern Bavarian style hotel, located in the picturesque village of Grassau, nestled on the edge of the Alps between Munich and Salzburg.  We will tour by luxurious motor coach daily to places of interest and later to return to our hotel.  Our goal is to make this vacation your best ever.

This holiday tour allows time to enjoy the very best of the beautiful alpine region of southern Bavaria and Austria. You will learn about the area, its people, their customs and their traditions.  You’ll experience a personalized guided tour, tailored especially for the Traditional Jazz fan at one low price.

Jeff Barnhart Jeff Barnhart on Piano
This pianist is one of the most versatile musicians in the country. Vocalist, arranger, bandleader, recording artist, composer, comedian & entertainer, Jeff is an integral part of most ragtime and jazz festivals around the globe.

TBA On Clarinet - To Be Announced
Bob Draga has left the band and has decided to move on to other things. We all wish him the very best. His replacement has yet to be announced. The replacement will be hand picked to be the very best.

Danny Coots Danny Coots on Drums
Danny is a pleasure to watch because he thoroughly enjoys what he does. He exemplifies endless energy and enthusiasm with each performance. He has played on over 45 recordings and appeared in over 70 countries.

Flip Oakes Flip Oakes on Trumpet
Flip knew from the time that he could walk and talk that he wanted to make music and play trumpet. He made his professional debut at the age of twelve with his father’s six piece Dixieland band in western New York. He continues playing jazz festivals, concerts, lounges, parties, wedding, political conventions, corporate parties and other affairs with his own group, The Flip Oakes Jazz Party Quartet.

Jerry Krahn Jerry Krahn on Guitar
Jerry brings his no-amps acoustic archtops to the stage and studio in the styles of early jazz guitar masters Eddie Lang and Django Reinhart. His arrangements of 20’s and 30’s jazz and pop standards are inspired and fresh sounding. Jerry carries these guitars into the 21st century with soulful versions of contemporary jazz, folk and personal compositions combining styles of Joe Pass, Chet Atkins, Pat Metheny and George Benson.

Ike Harris Ike Harris on Bass
As one of the very few native sons of Nashville in the music business, Ike Harris has performed with an amazingly diverse variety of artists and ensembles during his career. You may find him in a club with a jazz group, in the studio with a country artist, in a classroom with music education majors, or on a concert stage with an orchestra.

Bill Allred on Trombone
Bill’s family has an extended musical background. He performed in College and the Navy and was a staff musician at Walt Disney World. Bill played over 12 years with the Wild Bill Davison Jazz Band, recording and traveling to festivals and concerts worldwide. Bill is now the leader of the very popular Classic Jazz Band. Bill continues to do occasional music work for Walt Disney World as well as run his own music production company.
